Using paper clay to create cute flowers

We have been having so much fun at Blossom HQ using air dry clay to craft clay flowers.  We have been busy gluing our flowers to all sorts of projects around the home!  I like to use the Hearty white clay, adding some acrylic paint to colour the clay.  Be sure to keep it in a zip lock bag with small piece of damp kitchen towel to prevent it from drying out.

When using silicone molds with the air dry clay you may need to use an oil to prevent the clay sticking. I used vegetable fat and greased the rolling pin, mat and silicone mould well.  I generally found the air dry clay to be very thirsty and requiring more oil than other clays.
